Anti-proliferative activities of 4H-pyran derivatives synthesized from benzoylacetone

ABSTRACT. Benzoylacetone (1) underwent a series of multi-component reactions with aromatic aldehydes and malononitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate to produce the pyran derivatives 4a-f. The latter compounds reacted yield condensation products 5a-m. On other hand, reaction 4a-f either diazonium salts 6a-c yielded arylhydrazone 7a-i. adehydes cyclohexan-1,3-dione produced 9a-c. Compound 1 Gewald’s elemental sulfur cyanacetate yielding thiophene 10a,b. Evaluations synthesized were carried out against some selected cancer cell lines most active further evaluated seventeen classified according disease. Morphological changes A549 line by effect compound 7k was studied using microenvironment lung tissue where an excellent results obtained.

Egg shell has been utilized as a natural, green, reusable and eco-friendly reagent for the synthesis of spiro[4H-pyran-oxindole] derivatives by one-pot multicomponent reaction of isatins, 1,3-diketones, and malononitrile/ ethyl cyanoacetate.
